Always on Country: School Workshop

Join D’harawal Saltwater Knowledge keeper and storyteller Shannon Foster as she shares her knowledge on traditional string making techniques and local languages. Participants will learn about Waraburra Nura, the Indigenous medicinal plant garden at UTS, and how to use local Sydney plants to cure warts, make the world’s oldest energy drink and improve memory through the same techniques utilised by Indigenous people for generations.

Through the workshop students will gain an understanding of the resilience and richness of Indigenous Knowledges in Sydney and a deeper understanding of always being on Country in Australia.
