Stella Rosa McDonald

Stella is responsible for the co-ordination and promotion of the exhibition program of UTS Gallery, working with artists and curators to develop exhibitions, projects, publications and public programs.

Most recently Stella has worked in arts management and administration as the Associate Gallery Manager of Minerva, Sydney and as project manager for The Bureau of Writing, a collaborative writing program designed for artists and presented alongside the 20th Biennale of Sydney in association with Artspace, Sydney. As a writer, Stella has contributed critical writing, fiction and poetry to a variety of publications and artist’s projects including Vitamin P3, New Perspectives in Painting (Phaidon), Overland Literary Journal, Ocula Magazine, Das Superpaper, The Art Life and Art &, amongst others. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from UNSW, Art & Design.

Eleanor Zeichner

Alice McAuliffe

  • Coordinator Learning and Projects

Alice established the Education and Outreach program at UTS ART focusing on visitor interaction, participation and artist-led workshops. She is responsible for all UTS ART educational activity for preschool, school, tertiary and adult learners and forging educational ties between UTS ART and UTS research and coursework. Alice holds an Honours degree from Sydney College of the Arts in Sculpture, Performance and Installation and a degree in Art Theory from College of Fine Arts. She has worked in the arts and cultural sector in Australia and Italy for over 15 years. Her theoretical areas of interest are Relational Aesthetics, community engagement and the emerging educational focus in Institutional Art Theory.


Janet Ollevou

  • Assistant Curator, Collection

Janet maintains the registration and documentation of the university’s art collection where she assists and advises in the development, preservation and presentation of the Collection. She has an extensive knowledge of 20th and 21st century art, design and museum practice and experience in curatorial and collection management positions at independent galleries, the MCA, and the National Trust NSW. She has tutored in modern and contemporary art and design and supervised museum and curatorial studies interns. Janet holds degrees in art practice, art history and film studies from the University of Sydney.

Felicity Sheehan

  • Curatorial Assistant, Collection and Projects

Felicity works on Mondays and Fridays in an advisory and administrative capacity, assisting across the broad range of UTS ART activities. She has over 20 years experience in the arts industry and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Gallery Management studies from UNSW.

Tania Creighton

  • Public Art Project Curator

As Curator and Manager of UTS ART, Tania is responsible for directing, gallery programming, and development and care of the University’s art collection. Over the past decade she has led the team to strengthen the profile of the gallery and broaden engagement with the visual arts, through innovative exhibitions, public programs and outreach. She communicates between the UTS Senior Executive, the Art Advisory Committee, donors, supporters and the public. She has a passion for contemporary art having worked on more than 100 exhibitions at the MCA and Museum of Sydney and in art consultancy, prior to joining UTS. Tania has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and gained a Postgraduate diploma in Gallery Management studies from UNSW.
