Lisa Scott creates complex, layered work which often draws on her own biography and family history. She works in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, textiles, screen-printing and installation, incorporating text from diaries she has kept for the past decade. Lisa says she writes in order to make people understand what life is like for people living with a disability. She frequently uses the motif of the skull, rendered in colour, to evoke the tension between life and death.
Lisa’s work has been exhibited as part of Underbelly Arts Festival and Beams Festival. Lisa collaborated with six fellow artists from Studio A on Bird Life Jungle Disco for UTS in 2019.
