Far and wide:Narrative into Idea upcoming workshops for High School students

  • This event has concluded.

Jasmin Stephens curated exhibition far and wide:Narrative into Idea considers artistic research as practice. Students will learn about the five different approaches each artist has taken to develop their work, with more detail being given to the artist Barbara Campbell’s work and process, who will be delivering the workshop in collaboration with Education Coordinator Alice McAuliffe. Students will have the opportunity to meet and work with the artist to gain an insight into her personal way of working and formulating ideas. Students will also have the opportunity to explore strategies to build upon creative threads and ideas that can be practically applied in their own practice.

Workshops are aimed at high school students and are three hours in duration including a break for morning tea. An online resource for both exhibitions will be available for pre and post visit teaching.  The workshops are open to all interested school groups including CAPA, Science, English and Design and Technology.

Shorter tours, tours for younger students and tertiary groups and tailored visits can be arranged on request.

For select U@UNI high schools transport is provided to and from school and UTS.
